2025 Quattuor Scholarship Awardees
Kamorah Reynolds, Ramsay High School (c/o 2025)
Kamorah is an empathetic and outgoing student whose leadership and dedication to others set her apart. As an IB scholar, she explored the cultural and historical roots of African American cuisine, showcasing her curiosity and love for learning. She is passionate about ending homelessness, envisioning solutions that provide housing, meals, job resources, and mental health support. Kamorah plans to study at Alabama A&M University, where she will prepare for a career in English and Literature education. Kamorah has exhibited incredible resilience in leadership positions like managing her school’s talent show, where she learned valuable lessons in communication and accountability. We are excited to see Kamorah bring her joyful, selfless, and sociable nature into her future work as an educator and community leader.
Sajid Mahmud Abdullah, A. H. Parker High School (c/o 2025)
Sajid is a driven and resourceful student with a deep passion for problem-solving and innovation. Arriving in Birmingham from Bangladesh, he faced the challenge of learning English and adjusting to a new culture—mastering the language in just six months. His leadership and technical skills shined when his robotics team successfully placed in their first competition. Sajid plans to double major in Mechanical Engineering and Physics at UAB before pursuing graduate school. He is committed to tackling global challenges, from developing nuclear fusion for cleaner energy to promoting peaceful resolutions in world conflicts. We look forward to seeing how Sajid’s dedication to technology and sustainability shapes a better future.
