Lamario J Williams | CEO
Lamario J. Williams was born in St. Louis, MO and raised in Huntsville, AL. Lamario is currently a part of the UAB MSTP. He is passionate about music, sports, art, and food.
Antonio j Williams
Antonio J. Williams was born in San Antonio, TX and raised in St. Louis, MO and Huntsville, AL. Antonio has obtained his MBA from Wash U in STL, and is working on his PhD in Economics from the University of Arizona. He is passionate about sports and music. Antonio is CompTIA certified for IT security. He serves as the business analyst for DUBS Foundation.
Alicia Williams, MD
Alicia was born and raised in Fort Payne, Alabama. She is soon beginning her pediatric residency at Children’s of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Alicia is passionate about basketball, singing, and making a positive impact in the lives of her patients.
Talya Sindel
Talya was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Talya earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Astrophysics from UC-Berkeley, and is now an actor, singer, dancer and tutor. She performs in musical theater, Shakespeare, cabarets, opera, and anime voice-acting.
Javier Perez | COO
Javier Perez was raised in Huntsville, AL. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from UAB and is currently employed as a perfusion technician at UAB hospital. Javier is passionate about fishing, comedy, fine dining, and movies. Javier serves as the Chief Operations Officer of the DUBS Foundation.
Daniel Reeves
Daniel Reeves was raised in Huntsville, AL. Daniel received his BS in Industrial Distribution from UAB. He is currently employed by Fastenal. He is passionate about traveling and cooking.
Steph Owens
Steph is from Huntsville, AL and creates visual arts in the form of painting and drawings. They also have their own clothing line called Rocket City Wear, and work as a librarian assistant for the Madison County Library system. Steph loves to organize music concerts and hopes to see that more people appreciate art for its intrinsic value.
Logan o’brien
Logan was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. He currently works at SGI Logistics as an operations clerk. Logan is incredibly wise and strong-willed. Logan is happily married to his lovely wife Judi, welcoming their firstborn into the world soon.
Ramon misla David
Ramon was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He is earning an MD-PhD dual degree and currently living in Memphis, TN with his wife Ana to complete the research portion of his training at St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Ramon serves on the three non-profit executive boards, has written a book, and is a tremendous advocate for diversity and inclusion in medicine and science.
Tamara Imam, Esq.
Tamara is Palestinian, born and raised in Madison, AL. She practices as a poverty lawyer. Tamara is passionate about Alabama football, equitable policy reform, and economic justice.
Omar
Omar’s family is from Syria. He was raised in Atlanta, GA. He is currently a medical student at UABSOM. He loves learning about religious studies, and has a legitimate passion for bringing peace into the lives of those around him.
CEleste Fong
Celeste’s family is from Hong Kong. She was born and raised in Madison, AL. Celeste currently works at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) as a clinical research coordinator where she conducts research on the ethics of neurotechnology. Celeste is passionate about photography, writing, and traveling.
Blake chapman, CPA | CFO
Blake Chapman is a Harvest, AL native who earned his BA in accounting and Master of Accounting from Auburn University. He currently works for Ernst & Young in Cleveland, OH. Blake is passionate about all things sports and economic justice. Blake serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the DUBS Foundation.
Whitsett boogaerts
Whitsett Boogaerts is a Birmingham, AL native with a BA in philosophy and a BS in biology from UAB. He plans to teach high school science. Whitsett is passionate about microscopy, botany, and astronomy.
Brandon Baca | CIO
Brandon Baca was born in Placentia, CA and raised in Huntsville, AL. He currently lives in Fort Worth, TX working as a welder at Joe White Tank. Brandon enjoys drifting and taking care of his sweet dog Niah. Brandon serves as the Chief Information Officer of the DUBS Foundation.
Nadia Anabtawi
Nadia Anabtawi was born to Palestinian parents in Hoover, AL. She is currently a medical student at UABSOM. Nadia is passionate about good local eats, literature, and impactful service to others.
Alesha Amerson
Alesha Amerson is from Phenix City, AL and received her BS in Biomedical Sciences from UAB. She is currently attending UABSOM and hopes to pursue a career as a primary care physician. Her passions include dance, healthy living, and travel.
